I guess JoAnn's wasn't enough. I had to stop by Wal-Mart and happened to think that I needed some yellow and red. Now why didn't I think of that while I was in JoAnn's? I even had it on my list. (Rolling eyes here!) Here is a picture of the reds and yellows I picked up at Wal-Mart.
One year ago today was a rough one for our family. My mom was in a serious car accident. She had a gash from the crown of her head to just above her nose. She had to have surgery to repair it. She also had 2 fractured vertabrae and was black and blue all over. She was in ICU for about 5 days, a regular room for a couple of days, and a residential care unit for 10 days. She is tough, though. She has completely recovered and is doing fine now. She still has some stiffness in her back, but gets around great for 70 years old. I was just thinking about what a difference in a year can mean. We are all grateful that mom is back to her old self.
I had my guinea pig out this morning brushing her and decided to take some pictures of her. She is 5 years old this month and still very healthy. She is rather rolly polly. LOL Her name is Riccu. Yep, named by the same boy who named Aeris. I am assuming Jon found this name in some computer game. Anyway, we call her Ricki. She loves lettuce. If she hears me getting something out of the fridge, she lets go with her shrill whistle. I guess you would call it a whistle, or maybe a squeal. We have had guinea pigs throughout most of our marriage. They make good pets.
Well, if I am going to get any quilting in today, I need to get with it. I just took a loaf of bread out and have leftover chili for supper. The chores are all done, so I shouldn't have to stop for anything else today. Blogger is really slow on uploading photos today, so I think I will call this good. I talked to Ava last night. She had a wonderful birthday. Her mama showed her my blog and read it, plus the comments to her. Cathryn said she felt very special to see her pictures and have you all wishing her happy birthday. So thank you to everyone who did. I really appreciate it and appreciate all the visits. Please come again.
