Callie's Home!

Thank you all for praying for my baby to come home. I have been so worried. I tried to be strong, really I did, but I found myself crying several times this evening. I love my cats a lot. Anyway, Kevin told me to turn the pole light on after it got dark. (He is such a sweetheart. He has woke up a few times just to ask if I found her yet. He loves our babies too!)  I went outside calling her every 10-15 minutes. Finally, at 9:45 I walked out the door and said her name one time. I heard a rustling noise behind me, then heard her sweet meow. Oh goodness, I hugged her till she was about ready to get lost again. LOL I told her she is grounded! She is laying right here beside me as I type. I think she is kind of freaked out. She has been outside  since about 1:00 this afternoon. That is when Kevin and I came in from working outside. I started our dinner and he did some computer work.

After dinner, we were watching Dr. Oz, when I asked him if he had seen Callie lately. Then we both got worried and turned the house upside down. So she has been outside for about 9 hours. The good thing about this, is that I have walked over 10,000 steps looking for her. I am wearing my pedometer. I don't think I want her to get lost to encourage me to walk any more, though. LOL

Once again, thank you all for your kind comments and any prayers said on our behalf. I hope to be back tomorrow with some pictures of the grandkids. Everyone have a wonderful night. See you in the morning,.

I'm glad Callie has been found. I bet she was scared, too.

I'm so glad Callie is back home safe and sound. I checked here just before I went to bed and you hadn't posted. It's the first place I checked this morning. I know how you feel about Callie. I have a little dog that we rescued in 2001. She is always right beside where I'm working. You might want to check Callie for ticks since she's not used to being outside. No telling where all she went while she was out.

I'm so glad Callie is home! I can't imagine if one of our cats went missing. I would be frantic!

So very pleased she's back. I understand totally how you felt. A couple of years ago my little Kasper went missing for 24 hours - although he goes outside he's never gone for more than a couple of hours and always comes back when called. I was so upset and so were we all. Jason went to work and the kids went to school upset. I called and called to no avail. Then I heard a neighbour open his garage boor and a couple of minutes later Kasper was at the door. He had blunt claws where he'd been scratching to get out and had no voice - from all the crying I expect. I cried my eyes out with relief and then phoned Jason at work as I knew he wouldn't be concentrating properly. I let Jess know too and even phoned Patricks school and the secretary went to his class to tell him. He's never done it since thank goodness. Sending hugs to Callie xxx

Oh Winona I'm so very happy that Callie made it home. She was probaly as happy to see you as you were to see her. I would have grounded her too LOL.

Winona I am so glad that Callie is back home safe and sound. I know your pain. My cat, Heckle, has been sick this week. We found out that he has a heart murmur. So, we're treating him, babying, trying to get him healed.
