Finally, the Grandbabies!

I decided that I had better get these pictures posted before all the kids have changed again. (grin) These were taken on Easter. They are all growing up. Look at Madison, striding across the yard. Her hair is finally growing. Looks like she has some curls.
Ashton was digging in to the candy he found at the egg hunt. He is getting so tall and grown up.
Ava looking through her goodies. Notice Ava used her mom's Bow Tuck's bag that I made her for Christmas. Glad it is seeing some use. (grin)
Izabella and Noah decided to share Carolyn's chair. How cute are they?
Izzie's hair is growing out after the hair cut Noah gave her last spring. Her 3rd birthday was last week. Hard to believe that it was 3 years ago when we were so worried that we might lose her. She is perfectly healthy and growing fine now.

Speaking of health.... I had blood work done last week. All of my results turned out great. My cholesterol is borderline, but no where near me needing meds for it. My doctor was very pleased with my healthier life style. I have lost 17 pounds now. I eat healthy (with a few splurges now and again) and exercise 5 days a week. I take the weekends off, but try to get a good walk in at least once. I am starting to feel better. I told my doc that I have 3 great trainers....Richard Simmons, Leslie Sansone, and Jillian Michaels. LOL She thought they were doing a great job. (grin)  I am still taking my meds, but hope to one day be able to get off them. If not, I am ok with that too. I just want to be healthy again, so I am working on it.

I have won a couple of giveaways in the past month. I will share about them next time. Thank you for visiting. Please come again. Everyone have a wonderful Memorial weekend.

Grandma Brag Post!

Boy! It's cold out today! It was 0* with a windchill of -15* when we got up this morning. It is up to 12* now, but since that was to be our high, I imagine it will start cooling down now. I am thankful that the grader went through our gravel road this morning. Poor Kevin had to walk in the last mile on our gravel road last night, then back out this morning. He will be relieved to drive all the way home tonight.

I am still not into the quilting mood, but I'm getting there. I have been trying to catch up on the embroidery of my Raggedy BOM. I just have 1 1/2 blocks to go and I'll be caught up. Yea! I have also found 2 more BOM that interest me. One is Henrietta Whiskers from Bunny Hill and the other is something about a little bird, but I can't remember right off hand who is providing it. I have it saved, though.  So on to more of my Christmas pictures. Today I'll share some pictures of our grandkids.

Here is Madison. I had not seen her in several months. She is getting hair now and is walking. I love her big blue eyes. She is daddy's girl.
Izabella looked like a doll in this cute little dress and her hair all fixed up.
She was sitting on Uncle Isaiah's lap. Look at the look she is giving him. LOL
Ava loved playing with Buddy.
Noah all cleaned up and ready for Christmas morning.
Santa brought him a remote control car. He could hardly wait to go out and try it. Here he is with his sister and uncles, Isaiah and Jon.
Ashton took time out from playing with one of his gifts to grin for Grandma.

Here are a couple of pictures of everyone opening gifts.

Well, I do believe that is enough pictures of the grandbabies. I guess you can kind of see that I am crazy about these kids. (grin) I will leave you here. The next time, I will post a few pictures of some of the small wall quilts I gave for Christmas gifts. Everyone stay warm and safe. Thank you for visiting. Please come again.

Happy Birthday Madison!

I am taking it easy today. I worked hard yesterday and got pretty hot. So today, I am resting. Yesterday, I finished picking the beans. This time I got about 1 1/2 buckets. I blanched these and got them in the freezer. I also did some work around the house and cleaned the litter boxes. I only have 2 cats, but they each prefer a different litter box. Do I spoil my ladies or what? LOL

Today is our granddaughter, Madison's 1st birthday. We do not get to see her much, but still think about her daily. I have not seen her since Easter, so these pictures are old. I am sure she has changed in looks by now. Might even be walking.
Baby, if you could read this, I would want you to know that your grandpa and I love you dearly. We hope some day to see you on a regular basis. Please keep that beautiful smile.
(Big Sigh) Changing the subject, before I get all weepy!  I have finished the HST's for the Charm Square Quilt Along. I even have them all trimmed up. Here are 150 HST's sorted into groups of 10's.
Now I need to get the redwork done on the Raggedy and Friends BOM. That will have me caught up. I think I can also face Jeremy's quilt again. It was giving me problems, so I decided to step back from it for a while. I finished the quilting on the blocks of the redwork barns last night. Now I just have some quilting to do on the borders and it will be ready for binding. I'll share pictures when I get that done.

I guess that is it for me today. Now I need to go put my feet up and do some handwork. My ankles are swollen again. I will be glad when this heat and humidity leaves us. Thank you for visiting. Have a great day.

Grandma Brag Time!

Good evening,

I guess I skipped over all of our Christmas get togethers.  So I decided I would post a few pictures of our grandbabies that I took at various Christmas gatherings. After all, can you ever brag too much about your grandbabies? LOL No! Don't answer that. LOL

The first few were taken at Mom's celebration. Our family has grown so much, that we have to meet at a Lion's Club building. You should have seen us all the last time we tried to gather in her little apartment. It wasn't pretty. I'm surprised someone wasn't stepped on. LOL The small kids had to literally play under the tables that mom had set up. LOL

Anyway, here are Noah and Izabella. I thought this was such a cute picture. Noah is taking good care of his baby sister.

Ashton and Noah playing together.

Aunt Cathryn holding Madison with Ashton looking on with Maddie's daddy in the background.

Uncle Isaiah is always ready to rough the kids up. Ava loves it.

We had our family Christmas celebration at Carolyn's and Bob's house on New Year's Day. We were all in the middle of a blizzard on Christmas day.  Here is Aunt Hazel holding Ashton with, Uncle Isaiah, Ava, and Noah in the background.

Madison was fascinated with the tree. Here she is sitting on her daddy's knee.

Izzie loved her new red gloves.

Ava took time out of her busy schedule to smile for me. (grin)

Noah always smiles at Grandma.

Here they are opening the stockings I made for them. I wrapped each little thing with lots of tape. Hehe, it took them quite a while to get everything unwrapped!

Well, I guess that is enough bragging for one post. I don't really know how to explain it, but I have such a love in my heart for our grandbabies. I am sure most grandparents feel this way. All I have to do is think of one of them, see a picture, or get a phone call and I am all smiles for the rest of the day. Not many things better than having grandchildren. I have time to play with them now where, I didn't always have that time when our children were growing up. Also our kids can tell you this. The grandchildren get away with a lot more than they did. LOL  Grandparents are supposed to spoil them. Right? I am doing a good job!
I'll be back tomorrow with some more crafty stuff. No more bragging, I promise. (grin) Thanks for visiting and putting up with me today.
